SIGNIS celebrates 90 years of collaboration between Catholic communicators in Leuven
New Delhi, May, 7th, 2018 (Fr. Stanley Kozhichira/SIGNIS India). Archbishop Giambattista Diquattro, the Holy See's Ambassador to India and Nepal, recently organized a Christian Media professional get-together at the Apostolic Nunciature, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
Fr. Stanley Kozhichira, President of SIGNIS India, coordinated the event in a memorable journalistic way. It was an exclusive event for the catholic media professionals from various print, electronic and broadcasting media sectors from Delhi and NCR.
The event provided a great opportunity for everyone to share about their media situations, the activities of each institutions and the challenges facing them. As we know, communication tools have profoundly changed our lives, especially how we interact with one another and the world around us. They help us to find and maintain both old and potentially new friendships.
In today’s fast-changing world of communications and digital systems, we are witnessing the spread of what has come to be known as “fake news”. The meeting also discussed this topic by asking two questions: What is “fake” about fake news? How can we recognize fake news?
