OSCE offering human rights defenders training in effective communications in December 2017
Abijan, May, 9th, 2017 (SSR). More than 150 students of the ISCOM, the communications institute of the West Africa Catholic University, in Abijan, Ivory Coast took part in a training session done by the CREC and SIGNIS Services Rome (SSR). During 4 days, the students discussed and debated on “Media, fundraising, social business, storytelling and conversation marketing”.
Fabrizio Colombo, SSR director, Mambulu Ekutsu, project manager for SSR and Yvan Paradisi, CREC president, animated this training that allowed participants to immerge themselves in the new media trends. They were able to put into practice the theory they learned in class and to launch a permanent audiovisual production unit inside the ISCOM, which will allow the students to combine theory and practice throughout the year.
The training concluded with a formal ceremony with a question-and-answer session to satisfy the curiosities of the students and future catholic communicators.
For the director of SSR, it was also the occasion to see the University’s studios and to appreciate the technical capacities and the audiovisual material that the Institute has, for future collaborations.
