Young communicators from eleven Latin American countries participate in the SIGNIS-ALC training programme
Brussels, November, 27th, 2017 (SIGNIS). The 2018 annual St. Francis de Sales Days, hosted for the past 21 years by the Federation of the Catholic Media in France (a SIGNIS member), will feature Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of the State for the Holy See. The 22nd convention is being co-hosted this year, a first, by the Holy See’s Communication Secretariat.
The 22nd International St. Francis de Sales Days will be held Jan. 24-26 in Lourdes, France. Speakers include the director of the Holy See’s Secretariat for Communication, Msgr. Dario Viganò, and its director of pastoral theology, Natasa Govekar, and the current president of SIGNIS’ board, Helen Osman.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear presentations around the theme of “Media and Truth,” which is also the theme of the World Day of Communications. Traditionally the World Day of Communications message is released on the feast of St. Francis de Sales.
Simultaneous translation in French, English, Italian and Spanish will be provided; registration information is available here.
