Young communicators from eleven Latin American countries participate in the SIGNIS-ALC training programme
Quito, May, 29th, 2017 (SIGNIS-ALC). In a fraternal atmosphere, SIGNIS Ecuador celebrated its fourteenth anniversary last week at a meeting during which the new board of directors for the period 2017-2019 was elected. Just before the election, the outgoing president, José Mármol, presented the management report.
At the head of the new board, there is the communicator Irina Cevallos. The new president is producer and editor of Radio Católica Nacional, the radio of the Ecuadorian episcopal conference. The new vice-president is the communicator and university professor María José Martínez.
To complete the new team, Ángel Fabián Iza, Alexander Dávila and Father Albino Buitrago S.P were elected. Mónica Ulloa, Guillermo Guerra and Manuel Román were elected alternate members.
The new president of SIGNIS Ecuador, Irina Cevallos, has promised to work together with her team and all the partners to meet the challenges facing Catholic communicators in the country.
