Cannes, December, 6th, 2017 (MIPTV/Cannesseries). This April, Cannes, the most emblematic city for entertainment, will be home to the global TV industry, to discover new dramas and co-productions, gathering more international buyers, producers, distributors, creators, press and talent than ever.
MIPTV, the flagship global TV & digital content market (9-12 April), will welcome 10,500 international industry professionals, including an incredible drama community: 1,635 drama buyers and 601 drama producers will attend the event.
This year, “Canneseries”, the Cannes International Series Festival will unfold its first edition from April 4th to 11th 2018 at the Palais des Festivals. The event aims to highlight series from all over the world and to give an international voice to this increasingly popular and fiercely creative new art form.
Open to the public and organized by an independent association presided by Fleur Pellerin, the project will celebrate excellence. Striving to create a stage on which the foremost creators in the world of tv series come together, where tomorrow’s talents are showcased and a prestigious international competition for a wide range of genres and for series of all shapes and forms is presented.
